The 43rd KSCCM Annual Congress · Acute and Critical Care Conference 2023 and The 23rd Scientific Congress of the KSCCM and JSICM

The 43th KSCCM Annual Congress - Acute and Critical Care Conference (ACCC) 2023,  will be held from April 27th to Apr 28th, 2023. The congress is held in conjunction with the 23rd Korea-Japan Joint Congress.

Due to the pandemic, KSCCM-ACCC congress and Korea-Japan Joint Congress were forced to go to an on-line format for the past three years. As offshore travel restrictions have eased, this congress will be the first time in four years to be held in strictly offline format. Although, online educational experience has its merits,  it cannot compensate for the friendship and deeper interaction that only in-person meetings can bring.

This year the main theme of the congress will be “Provide the Essentials, Save Our ICUs”. The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has brought to the forefront the importance of critical/intensive care in the medical system. The critical/intensive care specialists were the hidden heroes who saved countless lives caring for the critically-ill COVID-19 patients risking their lives in the process. But the COVID-19 experience also magnified the deficiencies of our critical/intensive care systems of each of our countries. I hope this congress become a platform where we share our experience and knowledge on providing the essentials to our critically-ill and also a chance to gather consensus on how to improve our ICU system to prepare for the future.


KSCCM offers travel grants for outstanding abstracts submitted by international participants.
